Installing Herdly

There are a few things to keep in mind when installing Herdly:

  • You can install Herdly on as many devices as you want.
  • Herdly can be installed on Mac computers, Windows computers, iPhones, and iPads.
  • You device must meet the minimum requirements as listed on the Downloads page.
  • If you haven't created your ranch yet, you must first install Herdly on a computer and create your ranch. After that you can install it on your mobile device.

The installation works a bit differently on each platform.

Mac Computer

If you are on a Mac computer, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Downloads page on our website
  2. Make sure your computer at least meets the minimum requirements listed in the Mac area.
  3. Click the Download for Mac button. Herdly will be downloaded to your computer. This can take some time, depending on your internet connection.
  4. Depending on your browser settings, the Herdly installer might automatically run and install Herdly. If it doesn't, find the downloaded file (it will be named Herdly.pkg and will probably be in your Downloads folder) and double-click it.
  5. After Herdly is installed, it will automatically be launched. Also, it will be placed in your Dock so you can launch it quickly in the future.

Windows Computer

If you are on a Windows computer, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Downloads page on our website
  2. Make sure your computer at least meets the minimum requirements listed in the Windows area.
  3. Click the Download for Windows button. Herdly will be downloaded to your computer. This can take some time, depending on your internet connection.
  4. Depending on your browser settings, you may be asked whether you want to run or save the file. If you have this choice, run the file. If you don't, find the downloaded file (it will be named Herdly.msi and will probably be in your Downloads folder) and double-click it.
  5. After Herdly is installed, it will automatically be launched. Also, a shortcut will be placed on your Desktop so you can launch it quickly in the future.

iPhone or iPad

If you are on an iPhone or iPad follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Downloads page on our website
  2. Make sure your device at least meets the minimum requirements listed in the iOS area.
  3. Click the Download on the App Store button to be taken to the App Store where you can install Herdly.
